30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 30

Today's final drawing challenge was to draw a Congrats banner for completing the challenge.

Woohoo! Pretty glad it's over, to be honest. I love drawing and I drew some pretty great things for these challenges, but I want to get back to posting actually fashion/life stuff!

xoxo

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 30

Today's drawing challenge was to draw a place I want to go. Avoided saying Disney World/Florida, so I drew...
Ireland!

Mainly because I want to take a trip somewhere where it isn't tropical/beach related. Ireland is beautiful and I'd love to visit someday!

Sorry for posting this a day late! I went to my grandma's company picnic! It was an all-day sort of thing and I fell asleep when I got home, woke up to watch the baseball game, then by the time I noticed I forgot to post it, it was 12 am.

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 28

Today's drawing challenge was to draw anything I'd like. I kind of just went with the flow and drew whatever came into my mind.

(Click on the photo to view it larger)

She kind of looks like a more cartoon version of Taryn Manning to me? I don't know. I just drew a whatever came to mind!

Sunday's Photos

Today I just have some photos from my trip to the mall last Sunday + something I received in the mail. Enjoy!

Banana Split Dippin' Dots from the mall!

Bought three BatB Vinylmations and got these three- stoked! I can't wait to buy more!

Got these in the mail right before I left for the mall. I love them SO much!

My hair that day- messy fishtail braid.

Was very happy with the items I received tht day and the dippin' dots was fantastic- I've been obsesssed with it lately! Is that weird? Like, I don't think it's very popular anymore lol

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 27

Just a quick drawing today because I have my eye appointment in a bit. Today's drawing challenge was to draw someone I love. Someone I love no matter what is...

Cubbie!
(Click the photo to view it larger!)

My dog, Cubbie! He's a 7 year old jack-a-poodle (Jack Russel Terrier and Poodle mix). He might seem old, but he still acts like a puppy! He's grey and he's a total turd but I love him so much

Edit: Just noticed I accidentally put Day 26 instead of 27! Oops!

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 26

Today's drawing challenge was to draw something I don't like. I, like many humans, dislike many things, but I didn't want to delve too deep and draw something too negative or bad. So, I drew something I think many people can agree with me on!

peas!

They're just nasty and smell gross and are basically the only vegetable I don't like!

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 24 + 25

Day 24-
There was really no excuse why I missed yesterday's drawing challenge... but here it is! "A couple" was the challenge. It didn't specify a couple of what, so I drew...

cherries!
(click photo to view it larger)

Day 25-
I really enjoyed today's drawing challenge, which was to draw a scenery. I wondered what to draw, then decided on the island I stayed on during part of my trip to Florida- Anna Maria Island! Because it's an island, I decided to base it off a photo and go from there. The beaches there are beautiful, as are the sunsets- so I drew that!

sunset
(click photo to view it larger)

I love how it came out. It's not perfect (still using the basic drawing app), but I like it nonetheless.

Little update: Still working on that shopping/clothes post. It's kind of difficult to photograph clothes like jeans, but I'm still working on how to take the nicest photos for the post. Stay tuned!

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 23

Today's drawing challenge was to draw something I need. This was kind of difficult but I quickly thought of something I actually need and don't want for material purposes.

An eye exam! I wear glasses but it's been maybe two years since my last eye appointment! Thankfully I have an appointment coming up this Thursday. I always hate the feeling after getting those eye drops that make your pupils dilate, everything around you blurry, and your eyes yellowish. But hey, maybe if I leave early I can go to the mall or something?

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 22

Today's drawing challenge (albeit late time-wise) was to draw something I miss.

Everything about it I loved in the week that I visited there.

Friday Favorites + 30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 21

I didn't completely forget about Friday Favorites! I feel bad for not updating on Friday's, but it's been kinda hectic lately.

Vinylmation Beauty and the Beast - Disney Store
Tuxedosam Shoulder Bag - Sanrio
Tuxedosam phone strap - Sanrio
Purin phone strap - Sanrio
Hello Kitty Bow phone strap - Sanrio
Hello Kitty Bow folding comb - Sanrio

I know, so many pointless little things! But Sanrio updated their shop and added a load of cute things. On the top of my list of things to purchase are the Tuxedosam purse and the BatB Vinylmations. Apparently they're selling out EVERYWHERE and, sadly, I doubt I'll be going to the mall today or tomorrow. Let's hope that by Sunday, my local Disney Store will still have some available!

Today's 30 Day Drawing Challenge is to draw something I want. I was thinking of something material like the BatB vinylmations, but I actually have been craving something to eat/drink more!

A chocolate drink! I don't care if it's a coffee drink or a chocolate milk shake, I really want one!

Today's Nails

O.P.I. Couture de Minnie "Innie Minnie Mightie Bow" and "Magazine Cover Mouse"

Today's nails! Sorry they're messy... I did them in bad lighting, at night, plus they're a bright color so it's more noticeable! They don't look as bad in real life. Also, I've been meaning to do a swatch with these and I will try to do that tomorrow and post it next week!

xoxo

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 20

Today's drawing challenge was to draw something orange. I looked around me and literally saw nothing that was orange! So I went and looked at my fridge and found...

A bell pepper! My sister has been making a lot of stir fries lately and we've been buying more vegetables for them! I've been eating them too, but in separate meals. It was fun to draw this! Orange and green are two of my favorite colors and I especially love them together. The white spots are clearly light glares, right? Right!

In addition to tomorrow's drawing challenge, I will be posting some of the recent clothes I've purchased!

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Days 18 & 19

Oops! Missed another day. Sorry! Yesterday's drawing challenge was "Just a Doodle" and the today's (the 19th) challenge is "Something New".

Day 18-

Just a simple flower

Day 19-

Beat-up legs

I know, what a weird thing to draw! But I wanted to change it up and instead of drawing something new I saw or bought, I'd draw a change on me. With summer comes beat up legs! Scratches, mosquito bites, bruises, scrapes, etc.! For me, I have scratched up legs and a couple of bruises- I don't know how they got there, but it's interesting nonetheless!

Vinylmation Update + More

Enjoy the video! The first three on the top row were bought on Vinylmation Exchange. The Cutesters at the Beach was from the trade box. All three Monster's University vinyls were bloxed. The Remy was bloxed a couple of weeks ago and the Mike was a birthday present from one of my best friends! The two non-Vinylmations were bought at Hot Topic. And finally, the Fantasia set was from eBay.

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 15, 16, and 17

I had a very busy weekend, so I couldn't do my 30 DDC- sorry! Day 15 is "Family Picture", Day 16 is "Inspiration", and Day 17 is "Favorite Plant".

Family Picture- me, my sister, my mom, and my dog. (Sorry for the floating heads)
(Click the photo to view larger)

Inspiration- Lights. One of my favorite singers. Her style, personality, and overall positivity are inspiriting.
(Click the photo to view larger)

Favorite Plant- Bleeding Heart flowers.

These were all done in a rush- sorry! I will be posting regularly tomorrow and will have a vinylmation update, wardrobe update, and product review.

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 14

Today's drawing challenge was to draw my favorite fairytale. This one was easy- it's Snow White. The Disney version, of course.

Nothing much to say about this drawing challenge. Today I'll be heading to the mall and looking for some shorts and possibly bloxing a couple of Monster's University vinylmations.

Today's Photo: GRAIL!

So usually I post about the things I bought even before I receive them in the mail, but today I'd like to share something that I've been keeping for about half a week. I posted about my Vinylmation Holy Grails late last month and today I'd like to introduce you to Peter Pegasus:

Click the photo to enlarge!

I bought him off a seller on eBay- but not directly on eBay. There was a seller that was always trying to sell a few of his Furry Friends vinylmations on his eBay, but no one ever really bought them. Every time I went on eBay to see if anyone was selling Peter Pegasus, he was the only seller I saw. So, once my birthday rolled around and I had the extra money to buy an expensive vinyl, I went for it! But... not exactly in the way that you would think. I didn't bid or anything. I messaged the seller hoping to get a discount (he had it at a starting bid of $39.99). I asked if he could sell it to me for $30- and he agreed! As long as I paid $3 shipping. That seemed reasonable, so I bought it!
I got a tracking number a couple of days later and he arrived this morning. Strange thing is, the mail got her around 9 a.m. instead of the usual 3 p.m.! He must have wanted to come to me faster!
I know what you're thinking- his wing is bent! As much as I loved that I got him for so cheap. Okay, so $33 for a vinyl may seem expensive, but completed eBay listings show that two PP's (lol) were sold for $42.25 and $44.99. Also, I actually witnessed a seller on Vinylmation Exchange sell their Peter for $45 a couple of days ago.
I also wanted to note the fact that although the seller did put the vinyl in a bubble wrap envelope, the vinyl itself did not have bubble wrap around it- only a plastic baggie. That is probably why its wing is all bent (I'm trying to fix it now). But I'm actually not mad- this is my grail! I love it so much and it's the cutest thing ever!

xoxo

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 13

Today's drawing challenge is simply "Comic"... so I guess I'll draw something from one of my favorite comics?

Click the photo to enlarge!

Well, I was going to draw Sky Doll, but that felt too repetitive, so I drew from Junko Mizuno's "Princess Mermaid". It's a wonderful little comic/graphic novel and the art in it is wonderful. I definitely recommend it. As for the part I chose to draw... I found that part hilarious, so I drew it!  (Btw, it's not what it seems... they were talking about a huge jellyfish)

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 12

Today's drawing challenge is to draw my most recent accomplishment. This really is a challenge! Just like yesterday's challenge, I had a hard to thinking about a recent accomplishment. When does anyone really have accomplishments? Not to sound like a downer, but unless you invented, won, or aced something, what can really be considered an accomplishment? I can't think of anything recent that I've done that makes me proud of myself. I'm not the type of person to be proud of myself. Actually, I'm very hard on myself, so anything that may seem like an accomplishment to someone isn't an accomplishment to me. So, instead of drawing something that actually made me feel accomplished, I'll draw a recent something that made me feel happy for a moment with myself.

Okay, yes, it's something a little silly, but I was a little proud of myself! I've been wanting something and the only place I could find it was eBay for a decent price. But that "decent" price was still too pricey for me. So, hoping for the best, I sent the seller a message through eBay and asked if he could lower the price to $10 cheaper. He actually agreed, and that item will be here tomorrow! I'll reveal what it is once I have it :) Stay tuned!

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 11

Today's drawing challenge was, well, a challenge. I was to draw a turning point in my life. Um, I don't know! I'm 20 years old! Nothing drastic has changed in my life! I guess, in a not SUPER important sense, I could look back and pick out something in my life that changed my life. Even thinking about that was difficult. I honestly don't know. Choosing a person would be too easy. So, I chose a pretty significant event-

It's pretty funny that I chose my High School graduation as the turning point on Day 11 of this challenge- since I graduated in 2011 (notice the little "11" charm on the tassel). There's nothing else I really want to say on this subject... I loved my High School and that part of my life is over. It was a turning point in a way.

My Birthday

So now that my birthday week is over, I can write a post about it! My birthday was Thursday the 6th and it was a pretty average day. My mom gave me a goody bag (she always gives us goody bags) and here is what was in it (not including the candy)-

(clockwise: Beaded headband, pack of colorful headband, Almay lip gloss in Cantaloupe, Baby Lips 2 in 1 pack, Sinful Colors polish, Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail strips, and Couture de Minnie OPI nail pack.

As always, she included candy but I didn't want to photograph chocolate bars haha. I loved all of the goodies! That Almay lip gloss is definitely getting a review! I'll also be reviewing the Baby Lips glosses and those awesome Couture de Minnie OPI polishes.

On Friday I went out to dinner at Giordano's with my sister, mom, two cousins, uncle, and his fiancée. It was a ton of fun and we stuffed ourselves on pizza, salad, bruschetta, cheese sticks, and more! Definitely loved some of the hilarious memories we created that day.

This Sunday, we had my birthday party! I wore a dress from Victoria's Secret and sandals and cardigan from Forever 21. The cardigan had 3/4 sleeves and the dress was above the knee.

Once you get in your teens, people stop giving you actual gifts (like clothes and toys) and just give you money. I'm fine with this! Every family member who gave me money went to me when I was alone and gave me money and talked low and said happy birthday. It's always the same and it cracks me up- every family member except for one did this! I wonder if it's just my family who does this?

The reason I said every family member except for one is because my aunt gave me an AMC give card when we were in a crowded room. What a great gift, right? Especially in the summer when you go to the movies every other weekend! I'll actually be going this Friday with my cousin to see Man of Steel (SO EXCITED!) so it's the perfect gift!

We had some amazing food! Since I'm a vegetarian, I asked my family members to bring vegetarian-friendly meals (if possible). Boy did they bring some food! In addition to the barbecue chicken and garlic bread my mom brought (you know, since it isn't ALL about me- my family loves barbecue chicken!), there was the following: fruit salad, spicy green pasta, two potato salads, one pasta salad, Mexican rice, enchiladas (my grandma made these especially for me, but I shared), marshmallow graham cupcakes (yum!), and two types of cakes. I know what you're thinking, that's a buttload of food! But including babies and children, there were 32 people who ended up coming. All family. Of course, not everyone was there at a time (2 left early, 2 came later). The party lasted around 4 hours and it was tiresome but so much fun. It was gorgeous out- warm with a very nice breeze (probably the best weather we've had all month!). Everyone had a nice time! I had a wonderful time and I can't wait to hang out with everyone at the next get-together (not going to the father's day party since I'll be at Six Flags).

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 10

Today's drawing challenge was to draw my favorite candy. I'm not a very big candy person, but I do love 3 Musketeers chocolate bars!

Click the photo to view it larger!

Yes, I drew this! Ack, it took like 45 minutes to do but it came out amazingly! I'm so happy with it! My fingers hurt a little but it's okay! I spent a lot of time blending, matching colors, everything! I'm so happy with how it turned out

Update + 30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 9

I know I've been lacking with the real posts, and I actually missed a Friday Favorites yesterday (so sorry!) but I'll get back with posting more real photos soon. Today I bought some vinylmations and clothes so I'll be posting about that. Also, I'll post what I got for my birthday from my mom and family (my birthday party is this Sunday, so I'm not sure what else I'll be getting in addition to money and my gift bag).

Today's drawing challenge is to draw my favorite show. No brainer!

I'm not gonna explain the reason why. I can write an essay on why it's the best show ever. Simply watching the pilot episode of the show, you will understand why it's best show.

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 8

Day 8's drawing challenge is to draw my favorite animated character. The two that immediately came in to my mind were My Melody and Arnold from Hey Arnold. I honestly can't decide on which one I prefer, so I drew both!

Arnold is actually easier to draw than My Melody! I love My Melody because she is the cutest Sanrio character (well, I have many other favorites, too!) but I also have more merchandise of hers so I love her little face! Arnold is the sweetest, most considerate cartoon character out there. He knows right from wrong and he's just too adorable for words!

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 7

Today's challenge is to draw (?) my favorite word. I'm guessing they meant to draw something along with my favorite word.
There's not too much explanation to my favorite word- I just like it.

Have a nice day!

My Birthday + 30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 6

It's my birthday today!  But in my family, we don't celebrate until the weekend (unless your b-day is on a Monday or Tuesday, we celebrate the weekend before). We'll be going out to dinner tomorrow with some of my family and celebrating with the entire family this coming Sunday.

Today's challenge is to draw my favorite book character that isn't in a movie. This was so tough! When you think about your favorite characters, they are always movie characters... at least for me. Well, in my case I think about Harry Potter characters and clearly those have been made into movie characters, so I can't choose them! My second problem with this is every time I'm asked what my favorite books are, I freeze up and forget every book I've read except for the obvious popular books.

Then I thought... do graphic novels/sorta comics count? Sure they do! I drew Noa from the Sky Doll series. This is based off a photo, but I didn't trace it or anything.

I actually really love how it came out. The Sky Doll series is very beautifully drawn and written. I definitely suggest them! You may be able to find them at comic book stores or eBay.
I love Noa because she's different from all the other Sky Doll's. She's well aware with what she's programmed to do, but she knows that she's destined for more. She's spunky, funny, beautiful, and sweet.

Recent Purchases: Pre-Birthday Buys!

Most people around my age still get money for their birthday (no more clothes and toys) and we all love to spend that birthday money on something big or sometimes we save it. I wanted to buy something before I get that birthday money. What is it? Something I first talked about months ago! A bag for summer/Wisconsin!

I previously blogged about my need for a summer bag that could fit many things inside. I settled that around this time in June I would buy on of the purses above. Did I? Well, sort of. I bought this bag-

As you can see, it's not exactly the third purse, but it's from the same line. I hadn't seen this one while searching the purses back then because this was in the "Tote" section instead of overnight section. This tote is larger than the one pictured with the two purses. In addition to being larger, it was significantly cheaper because it was on sale. This purse, with shipping and a $5 off Birthday Coupon, was $25.15! Not bad for a big, cute purse! I'll be sure to review it once it comes next week.

I bought this Whiskers & Tales Vinylmation from someone on Vinylmation Exchange. I only bought it yesterday, but I thought I'd include it anyway. It was only $6! I only need her to finish off the one's I want from the Whiskers & Tales series. Luckily I got 4 of the ones I wanted from the BOGO so I only needed to get her. I wasn't going to take my chances in buying another blox and getting a duplicate or one I didn't want (like Lambert or Tito) so I figured I would find someone on Vinylmation Exchange who was selling her for cheap. I saw most people selling her for $9 but a few selling her for $6. I chose the first person I saw selling her for $6.

I also bought this cute ring. I remember seeing these being sold at Sanrio but they only had one character, Tuxedo Sam. I didn't want a Tuxedo Sam ring so I bought my things and left. I decided to look up the rings on eBay and lo and behold they had the My Melody ring! So adorable

Well, that's all for now. Expect more "Recent Purchases" posts in the coming weeks. I might (emphasis on the might) go to the mall this Saturday, so stay tuned!

xoxo
