Recent Purchases: Something Awesome!

What did I purchase when I got my first paycheck?

Too Faced Loves Sephora 15 Years of Beauty Palette - Sephora

I finally bought myself a good palette! I've been wanting a palette for a long time and I finally bought this one after reading and watching many reviews of it. I love that it comes with so many things, so that's a big reason why I ended up buying this over many other palettes.
As per request, when it arrives I will be making a video review. I will also be linking the video here and posting photos here for those who would prefer to read a review and look at photos rather than watch me being awkward on camera.

A Day in Photos: Navy Pier + Update

What a wonderful day yesterday was! I met up with a few of my best friends and we had a girl's day at Navy Pier! It was hot and crowded, but we created so many memories :) Here are some photos of my day:

The tables behind the swings was our favorite place to sit- shaded and a great view!

We got Dippin' Dots! I got the Cookies and Cream and it was SO good!

Friendship bracelets!

We went mini-golfing! This is a photo of the pond there hahaha

Some pretty flowers! Gosh, downtown is so beautiful

This is what I bought! A Wonder Woman tote (shopping bag style)

I got a henna tattoo! It's messy, but I don't care :) (Ignore my big bruise beside it, it's from getting blood drawn)

I got an Instagram account! But I can't change my dumb profile photo. Check it out! I'm @centuarette - I follow back :)

Work has been so stressful and long! I'm glad I get paid this upcoming Friday (company policy idk)! I'm going to treat myself to some makeup and clothes!

Wisconsin Dells! If all goes well, I'll be there August 1-4 (I say "if all goes well" because my aunt is... strange and I'll just leave it at that).

Friday Favorites: Summer Essentials!

Work has been so hectic but online shop browsing after a long day of work makes things so much better. Here are this week's Friday Favorites- they're some summer essentials I've been wanting!

Raindrops Keep Falling - Modcloth
120 Palette 4 - Coastal Scents
Rose-Colored Sunglasses - Modcloth
Heartbreaker Sunglasses - Urban Outfitters

I know what you're thinking... how is an umbrella and makeup summer essentials? Well, around here it rains a lot. Plus, I don't have a nice umbrella. As for the palette, look at all those bright colors! I've been wearing so many pastels and brights lately and putting on some fun colors sounds like so much fun! The rose sunglasses are awesome. You'll understand why I want them when I post about my new glasses next week (sorry for the delay!). The heart sunglasses are so cute! I tried on a similar pair (possibly even from the same company) at Pacsun and fell in love!

Top 5 Favorite Beauty Youtubers

1. Violetlebeaux
Hands down the best hair tutorials on Youtube. Her tutorials are both cute and easy. She hails from Australia (where the weather can be brutally hot) so many of her tutorials include updo's inspired by Hime Gyaru. Violet also does makeup tutorials, vlogs (separate channel), nail tutorials, craft DIYs, outfit of the days, and more! She's sweeter than cupcakes and I definitely recommend every girly girl check her Youtube channel out.

What to Watch: This is my favorite OOTD of hers and this (her most recent hair tutorial) is amazing!

2. Gregory Gorgeous
GiGi is hilarious and very talented with a brush! He doesn't only do makeup tutorials and monthly favorites, he posts basically whatever he wants! Admittedly, I do go straight to his vlogs/stories rather than his beauty related videos- but I do love other videos!

What to Watch: See this video for one of hilarious yet dramatic stories and this for a Get Ready With Me video!

3. Dope2111 (Promise Phan)
Promise has wonderful transformation videos. It's more of a fun beauty channel, but don't relate fun with untalented. She's probably the most talented makeup artist on Youtube in my opinion. She seems really sweet and isn't trying to be squeaky perfect *cough*.

What to Watch: Her Jennifer Lawrence tutorial and Adele tutorial are my favorites!

4. Glowpinkstah
Gloria is one of my favorite Youtubers in general! She's hilarious and so real! Although most of her tutorials are parody tutorials with silly makeup application, Gloria isn't a bad makeup applicator at all! Lately she's been making regular (although still hilarious) makeup tutorials. She probably wouldn't call her channel a beauty channel because posts more comedic things, but I love her beauty and parody beauty tutorials as much as the others on this list!

What to Watch: This is probably my favorite parody tutorial of hers to date. This is super pretty girly tutorial that I totally love.

5. Lisa Freemont Street
Although Lisa is one of the best vintage beauty guru's on Youtube and is on this list because she's a favorite of mine, she's number 5 because I just can't do most of her tutorials. My favorite tutorials of hers are her vintage hair tutorials, but they require things I just don't have! It's obviously my fault, But I just wanted to point that out. Now, not all of her videos require tools I don't have, but most do. But that's besides the point! She's a great Youtuber and all of her videos have great music! Something else I love about her is that she's had long, medium, and short hair so there's a vintage hair tutorial for everyone!

What to Watch: I love this updo hair tutorial and night time variation.

Hope you enjoyed this Top 5 Favorite Beauty Youtubers post! I'll be doing another post on just my favorite Youtubers in general later on in the month (hopefully next week!). That one will probably have my top 10 favorites!

Friday Favorites: The Return!

My apologies for missing like three Friday Favorites- maybe more! I'm back with a few items I've been wanting- definitely will be buying some of my past FF's once I get that first paycheck. It'll be a couple of weeks (company policy), but still!

Lioele Lip Color Stick - eBay
Hello Kitty Neon Pink Handbag - Sanrio
Disney Donald Duck Contact Lens Case - eBay

So I saw a Facebook post of the Lioele LCS and they were so vibrant and glossy! The price isn't too terrible, so I think I'll get one one day! The purse is new on Sanrio and it's gorgeous, right? It's a great size and the colors compliment each other very well. The purse is pretty pricey, but it's beautiful. Maybe I'll splurge? As for the Donald Duck contact lens case- I found it the day after I got contacts and I fell in love! Too bad the case is pricey compared to other one's online and at stores. But I might buy it since I will be wearing contacts more often.

Fourth of July Photos!

Just some photos from today! I'm home now and I'm sitting back and relaxing. I'm surprised I didn't really eat much. My uncle planned a last minute thing so no one really cooked and the food there was, I couldn't eat (all meat). It was fine with me- there was some good bruschetta, fruit salad, and chips!

Sparklers!

We all wanted s'mores, so we made them!

My uncle got some pretty fireworks!

So nice!

Pulled out this big chip from the chip bowl!

Unrelated news, one Vinylmation from the Disney Store! Perhaps I'll make a package opening video? We'll see!

Happy 4th of July!

Haul + Update

I finally have the long promised "Recent Purchases"/Haul post. Now, I realize that haul's are supposed to be purchased on one specific day or shop, but I still think this is a haul. Everything listed has been purchased within the past two weeks.

This purse! Ugh, I splurged a bit on it but I've received numerous compliments on it and I've only had it for a couple of days! It's very roomy and has 7 (!) pockets! It's not the size of a standard backpack purse, but it's larger than a crossbody purse. I fell in love with it right away and decided to buy it since it was the only one. Plus, it's one of my favorite brands- Betsey Johnson!
Betsey Johnson Purse - Amazon (I didn't buy it here, I bought it for $40)

Haven't even tried these on yet and not sure if I love them (they were a gift), but they are unique and cute!
Pacsun Bullhead Jeans - Pacsun (no longer available)

These were on sale on the Aldo website and they're very cute and match one of the shirts in this haul down below.
Aldo Flats - Aldo

These flats are so soft and the perfect nude color- they match with so many things!
Lucky Brand Flats - Lucky Brand (no longer available in nude)

This top is perfect for work!
H&M top

This top looks great on and is the perfect indigo. You can dress it up or down and would look great with black jeans or a skirt!
Petticoat Alley top

This top was so cute! I've yet to wear it, but it matches so well with the Aldo flats! Plus, I saw Danielle Bradbery (recent winner of The Voice) wear it during one of the last episodes! Pretty cool
Forever 21 top - Forever 21 (can't find link or not available)

I'm missing a few things because they are either they are in my laundry basket or I am wearing them. I'll be sure to include them in another post!

Update!

So, some pretty great things have happened recently. I have a job now! I'm an Office Clerk at a clinic. I'm excited but nervous. My first day was the 1st of July, but today (the 2nd) I have the day off because my phone wasn't set up and my supervisor wouldn't be there. I have work tomorrow, but the office is closed on the 4th and my supervisor gave me the day off on Friday (basically everyone took the day off that day and it would be a dead zone).

I got contacts! I'm wearing them as I type this post. They're a little uncomfortable but that's a given, seeing as I only got them last Thursday.

I got new glasses! They don't have the prescription in them (we forgot the prescription!), but I think I love them more than my cat-eye glasses I've have for 2 years. I won't show a photo of them til I have the prescription, but I will say they are very unique, cute, and a great brand!
